Our team of lawyers work on complex and cutting-edge legal issues, and frequently teach other lawyers the law in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars. We are also supported by a friendly and seasoned support staff, which includes law clerks and paralegals with prior experience working in the Virginia court system. Further, we use sophisticated legal software to automatically track all billable hours and time spent on cases, which makes life a lot easier for all lawyers.Background knowledge in civil litigation is a plus. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills.Responsibilities:Researching and drafting civil motions and preparing discovery, including demurrers, bills of particulars, interrogatories, document production and depositionsResearch and draft memos on various topics related to real estate and business lawAssist with preparing for depositions and trial, including gathering trial exhibits and preparing direct and cross examination templates.Assist attorneys with cases.Work with clients.Answer questions from judges and opposing attorneys.QualificationsJudicial Clerkship or 1-year legal experienceMust have applied for or be in the process of getting your VA Bar. Qualified candidates should submit a (1) cover letter with salary requirements; (2) current resume (with 3 references); and (3) 1 writing sample (500-750 words).
