Assistant General Counsel - Leading Health System

A leading NYC based Health System is looking to bring on an Assistant General Counsel specialized in healthcare regulatory and transactional matters. You will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and be responsible for advising various business leaders across the firm. If you're passionate about healthcare and eager to contribute to an innovative and growing organization, you should apply!Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of healthcare-related agreements, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, service agreements, and other business transactions.Conduct due diligence for healthcare transactions, identifying potential legal risks and advising on mitigation strategies.Advise on regulatory compliance issues including healthcare specific regulations such as the stark law anti-kickback statute HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid policies.Monitor and analyze changes in health care laws and regulations ensuring the organization remains informed and compliantQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction5-10 years of experience in healthcare lawStrong knowledge of HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback StatutePrior in-house counsel or law firm experience preferred
