Position Title: In-House Paralegal Overview:The primary responsibility of the Paralegal will be to support, manage, and facilitate the company's acquisitions of auto repair shops (and associated real estate) across the United States. Additionally, the Paralegal will assist the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel with various corporate matters, including disputes, human resources, and corporate governance. Key Responsibilities:Provide reliable and efficient legal support to the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel. Prepare timely analyses and summaries of due diligence reports relating to M&A and real estate transactions. More specifically, review, analyze and distill diligence reports for real estate transactions, including, without limitation, title reports and surveys. Form, maintain and otherwise manage the company's subsidiary entities. Assist outside counsel with the preparation and coordination of all closings, ensuring the efficient management of schedules and documentation. Maintain the legal team's calendar, tracking important deadlines and key legal dates. Organize and archive legal documents, ensuring proper record-keeping and timely delivery to team members. Manage internal routing for review and processing of contracts. Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including meeting coordination, correspondence, and clerical assistance. Skills & Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with team members, executives, external parties, and the public. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong customer service orientation. Must be a Notary Public or the ability to become one. Preferred Experience:Degree, certificate or other formal paralegal training or legal studies. Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience working on transactions, preferably as a paralegal, with a background in M&A and/or real estate transactions. Experience with corporate formations and associated tasks.
