Special Education Teacher

APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a Special Education Teacher Location: Thornton, COPosition: Special Education Teacher Pay Rate: $45 - 55/hr. Based on ExperienceDuration: 13 weeksExpected Shift: Full-Time: M-F, Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:00). 40 billable hours per week.Federal Heights ElementarySUMMARYDesign and facilitate specially designed math, literacy and social/emotional instruction for students with disabilities and demonstrate competencies in advocacy, assessment, collaboration and compliance. Deliver specialized instruction inside and outside of the general education classroom, and consult and collaborate with general educators and other members of the special education team. Act as case managers and develop IEPs for students. They are responsible for monitoring progress toward goals and supporting implementation of accommodations in the general education setting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:AdvocacyAdvocate for students with disabilities to ensure access to learning opportunities and equity in discipline processesModel and promote inclusive languageAssessmentAdminister formal assessments and analyze/report data in order to support the IEP Team in determination of eligibility of students with disabilitiesDevelop and monitor progress of SMART learning goals for each studentCollect and analyze universal data to determine student growth patterns and support IEP developmentCollaborationCollaborate with classroom teachers, school psychologists, speech/language pathologists, school social workers and other special education service providers to develop integrated plans for students with disabilitiesCollaborate with families to ensure students' strengths, needs, services and progress are regularly communicatedComplianceImplement IDEA and ECEA regulationsDevelop and implement legally compliant, instructionally sound IEPsEnsure IEP implementation across settingsAbide by all district/policies/proceduresBasic Eligibility Requirements for TeachingBachelor's degree or higher.CO license pending okay - can start with license pending as long as candidate passes CO BGCOur client is the one of the largest Healthcare Staffing Provider in the United States, to be assigned at one of their affiliated hospitals/healthcare facilities.This particular client is requiring that all new hires show proof of vaccination.
