Field Technician

JOB DESCRIPTIONOur client is looking for a Power Distribution Designer to join the team! This role is entry level and will provide full training! The position is fully remote. The focus of the role is to prepare project and job packages that include material lists, requisitions, labor estimates, site drawings and construction drawings for installations of electrical and power distribution projects in a cost-effective manner.Day to Day:Our client is looking for a Field Technician to join the team in Richmond, VA. This role primarily supports the Richmond area but could go north to Fredericksburg. Primary responsibility is to collect data and photos of meters and wires that have been reported to have low voltages, helping to determine the root cause and the solution. Will be out in the field most of the workday, ability to work 10 hours Monday-Thursdays but flex schedule. NO overnight travel required. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic and a trainable mindset!REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAS degree or 1+ years of related experienceRelated experience preferably in Power, electrical distribution, any utilities, GIS, field work, telecomNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAny background in utilities, electrical or engineering especially in the fieldPast experience supporting Dominion or other large utilitiesKnowledge of low voltage optimization
