Roofing Estimator in Commercial Roofing

Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, engineering, or a related field, with experience in commercial roofing estimation being a plus. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and excellent communication to provide accurate project estimates and proposals.Key Responsibilities:Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for roofing projects.Perform takeoffs and material quantity analysis to determine project costs.Develop and submit detailed bids and proposals to clients.Collaborate with project managers and contractors to gather necessary data for estimates.Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other construction documents.Monitor changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.Ensure timely and accurate completion of all estimates and bids.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of roofing materials, pricing, and industry trendsPreferred Qualifications & Skills:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial roofing as either an estimator, project manager, or field personnel.Proficiency in roofing software (e.g. Bluebeam or equivalent) and Google Office (Sheets, Docs, etc.).Strong knowledge of roofing materials and construction methodsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specificationsStrong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and cost optimization.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
