Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer

Employees are the key drivers of our success and receive competitive compensation and benefits packages along with a lively, open, and fun work environment!Nature of Role: Reporting to the CNC Manager, the CNC Machinist/Programmer will be responsible for operating assigned machining equipment in supporting the manufacturing needs of the company. This includes preventative maintenance and machine changeovers.Responsibilities:Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programsVerifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standardsMaintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processesMaintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needsAccomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsRequirements:Associate's degree (A.A.) preferredShould be proficient with CNC controls and Manually operated Milling equipment.Proficient in programming in CAD and CAM software (Solid Works, Solid CAM)Must possess strong knowledge of machines and tools with regard to safety, use, and repair.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a teamAbility to use measuring equipmentAbility to operate machineryCandidates should be capable of working independently in a prototype shop environmentAt least one year of work-related experience required, 5 years preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parametersThe successful candidate will also be adept, comfortable, and proactive in the following areas:Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with othersTreats people with respect; keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational valuesFollows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values; benefits organization through outside activities; supports affirmative action and respects diversityDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure qualityAdapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsConsistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absentBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insurance
