DevOps Storage Engineer - NAS

Title: Devops Storage Engineer - NASLocation: Dallas, Texas Onsite Hybrid Onsite - 2 days a week in Irving Tx Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Devops Storage Engineer with Storage experience in Big Data Solutions and Backup Solutions to join our team.Education:• Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar preferred.Key Responsibilities:• Working on Data Protection, Backup Management, Improve Gaps.• Working on Hardware , Storage, Power Flex and Power Scale• Responsible to Provision Backups, Tape, NAS Storage and Cloud, Rubrik.• Write Shell Scripts and Python program and require DevOps skills sets - OpenShift , Kubernetes , Dockers to Monitor provision storage / back up jobs• Review the existing and improve gaps in Architecture• Provide oversight for backup scheduling, verification, and restoration processes, ensuring all data is protected with the highest level of reliability.• Oversee backup and recovery across Data Centers.• Knowledge of network switches such as LAN / WAN• Worked on Linux, Unix, Python, Kubernetes and OpenShift• Knowledge of VMware and managing large clusters.• Use of proactive monitoring tools for our SAS platform and the underlying infrastructure building blocks.• Experience with containerized environments: Kubernetes, Docker.Infrastructure Monitoring & Optimization:o Manage and monitor backup infrastructure.o Work on scaling back up infrastructures to handle increasing volumesof data, while implementing deduplication and compression to optimize storage utilization.Security & Compliance:o Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within backup systems, preventing security breaches and minimizing the risk of data loss due to ransomware or other malicious activities.o Ensure that all data protection measures are compliant with internal policies and external regulatory standardsReporting & Continuous Improvement:o Maintain detailed documentation for backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and incident resolution protocols.o Generate reports on system performance, backup success rates, and recovery efficiency.Experience:• 3 years of experience in Dev OPs , Data Protection and Backup Solutions.• Hands-on experience with large-scale backup environments.• Minimum 5 years of total experience in IT Software Development and System Administrative• Proven track record of successful disaster recovery planning and execution, with a strong focus on data security and compliance.• Worked comfortably on Python, NAS, Rubrik.• Have hands-on experience working with Dell Storage solutions, specifically Power Flex and Power Scale, ensuring that storage environments are efficiently designed, implemented, and maintained.Preferred Skills:• 3 years of experience in managing supporting Big Data Solutions , Managing Large Data Storages.• Gap Improvement: Review existing IT architectures to identify any gaps or areas that could benefit from optimization.• Knowledge of Dell Workstations.• Have hands-on experience working with Dell Storage solutions, specifically Power Flex and Power Scale, ensuring that storage environments are efficiently designed, implemented, and maintained.Personal Attributes:• Individual Contributor, Problem Solver, Collaborative, ProactiveBenefits:• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.• Health, dental, and vision insurance packages.• Paid time off and company holidays.• Opportunities for professional development and certifications.• Collaborative and supportive work environment.
