The Quality team oversees FAIs, Audits, inspections, and other processes that work to the company goal of on time delivery and achieving our sales goals.Duties & responsibilities:• Develop, promote, and grow a culture of quality and continuous improvement in thedepartment and the overall organization.• Lead all efforts required to ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) andquality certifications• Develop, maintain, and regularly publish performance indicators and metrics on the site'sperformance.• Establish and maintain the Quality department's internal audit process.• Manage all quality audits and ensure that all findings are satisfied suitably and in timelyfashion.• Initiate and follow-up on Corrective Actions, Calibration and Quality Process Improvements(scrap reduction, rework reduction, etc.).• Monitor productivity and cost effectiveness of the QA department; develop and sponsorprojects to improve efficiency, streamline processes and reduce costs.• Work effectively with all levels within the organization to resolve conflicting priorities andobtain cooperation to expediently achieve company goals.• Promote a continuous improvement environment and encourage changes that result fromimprovement efforts.Qualification Guidelines:• Candidates must be a "US Person" (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensureVaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR(Export Administration Regulations)Requirements:• At minimum, 5 years' experience managing Aerospace quality systems and AS9100requirements• Experience in managing a department with both direct and indirect reports.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Skilled at problem-solving, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.• A track record of significant continuous improvement efforts• A four-year degree in a technical discipline, typically science or engineering or the abilityto demonstrate equivalent applicable knowledge and experience managing a Qualityorganization.• Excellent computer skills including ERP experience
