We are seeking a skilled attorney to join a respected Public Law team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide legal counsel and representation to municipalities and public entities. Reporting directly to the Public Law Chair, you will support a variety of public law matters and help advise clients on legal issues affecting local government operations.Key Responsibilities:Draft resolutions, ordinances, and attend public meetings Assist in the negotiation and preparation of contractsAdvise clients on legal matters related to municipal law, including Open Public Records Act, Open Public Meetings Act, Local Public Contracts Law, and Property Maintenance Code Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on various municipal issuesProvide day-to-day oral and written legal advice to clients Perform additional duties as required Qualifications:Admitted to practice law in New Jersey (required); admission to practice in New York is a plus 5+ years of legal experience, ideally with a focus on public or municipal lawExceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills High standards of professionalism and discretion with confidential information
