They have been crafting one-of-a-kind frames for over three decades and feature local artists in monthly exhibits in their gallery space.Role DescriptionThe ideal candidate will possess experience working in the picture framing field and a passion for the art of framing. Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a supervisory role is also essential. This position requires a proactive approach to managing backroom production, working directly with staff to problem solve and ensure customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage daily shop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity within the work room.Assist team members with production issuesFoster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork and open communication among staffProblem-solving inventory, equipment and vendors issuesExecute challenging frame projects, including oversize work, specialty mounts, shadowbox designs and custom carpentry.Oversee workflow to ensure the team meets production goals and turn around time consistently.RequirementsExperience managing a retail frame shop or a similar role.Expert-level picture framing experience (minimum of 3 years in a retail frame shop), including expertise in cutting, joining, and advanced mounting/matting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff.Experience managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple ongoing projects day to day
