Construction Superintendent

This family owned construction management firm that has been in business for over 45 years is looking for a construction superintendent that would like to be on the developer side to join their team. The majority of their job portfolio is k-12 but they also build in the municipal, multi-family, and commercial spaces. They are extremely financially stable as they have multiple entities under one roof and are looking for someone for the long-term.Job Summary: The Superintendent will be responsible for managing on-site construction activities for multi-family projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will require collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and consultants while maintaining a strong focus on safety, schedule, and cost control.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all aspects of the on-site construction process for multi-family projects.Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.Maintain and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and address any issues promptly.Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.Track and report project progress, potential delays, and solutions to keep projects on track.Resolve conflicts and disputes that arise during construction.Ensure compliance with all local building codes, permits, and regulations.Qualifications:Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Construction SuperintendentMulti-family projects requiredStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.Experience working on the developer side is highly preferred.Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs.
