Technical Designer

We are seeking a Technical Designer specializing in Women's Intimate Apparel to join our team. This individual contributor role is responsible for executing the technical design process from development through final fit. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fit analysis, garment construction, and technical specifications, ensuring products align with established quality standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost objectives.Key Responsibilities:Execute the technical design process from initial development through final production.Analyze and evaluate garments to develop and refine fit specifications, ensuring consistency across styles.Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand standards.Conduct fit sessions, assess garment construction, and provide clear direction for pattern corrections.Collaborate closely with design, product development, and production teams to maintain the integrity of approved prototypes.Communicate fit, construction, and quality requirements to vendors and factories, ensuring timely approvals and necessary corrections.Work with manufacturers to troubleshoot issues and ensure garments meet quality, fit, and pricing objectives.Monitor the development of samples to align with company fit standards and production feasibility.Mentor and provide guidance to Assistant or Associate Technical Designers as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in technical design, with a focus on women's intimate apparel.Strong expertise in plus-size fit development and garment construction.Proficiency in pattern-making, grading, and garment specifications.Experience conducting live fit sessions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator, PLM, and Excel.Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented technical designer to make a meaningful impact on the fit, quality, and construction of women's intimate apparel.
