Automation Technician

Elite Connector is looking for an Automation Technician for his client in the manufacturing industry.Responsibilities:As an Automation Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Key Duties and Responsibilities:Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems and equipment.Programming and modifying machine components.Programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces) to optimize process efficiency.Assembling control panels.Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on automation systems to minimize downtime.Collaborating with cross-functional teams and with the R&D Team to identify opportunities for automation improvements.Assisting in the integration of new automation technologies into existing systems.Providing technical support to production team and electromechanics for automation-related issues.Keeping abreast of advancements in automation technology and recommending relevant upgrades or modifications.Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.Diagnosing and resolving electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.Participating in project launches.Skills and Qualifications:Strong troubleshooting skills with a systematic approach to problem-solving.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical information effectively.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to automation systems.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Requirements:Diploma or degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience in industrial automation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development.Proficiency with Automat, ladder, and AutoCAD programs.
