About the Role We are looking to hire a Development Coordinator for one of our clients. The Development Coordinator will play an important role in ensuring the development department operates smoothly and successfully. This role will support key processes in fundraising, grant management, and volunteer coordination, ensuring smooth operations within the Development Department. Responsibilities include managing social media outreach, coordinating events, maintaining donor and volunteer databases, and representing the organization at community events. Additionally, the coordinator recruits and supervises volunteers oversees in-kind fundraising efforts, and facilitates community engagement through site tours and outreach activities. This role is essential for driving development initiatives and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.This dynamic role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners.About Our ClientOur client is a non-profit organization located in Grapevine, Texas that helps women overcome hardship by equipping them and their children with the resources necessary for independence and permanent self-sustainability. They have a collaborative culture rooted in Christianity and is funded entirely through community support (not government funding).Job DutiesDevelopmentAssist in the administration and coordination of donations, campaigns, events, and other key development activitiesCommit to memory the company's mission, vision, and brand and represent the company with integrityTake ownership of your duties and proactively look for opportunities to support other development initiativesConsistently communicate with supporters and make certain response is accurate and promptAlways demonstrate excellent customer service and continually explore ways to increase support and engagementFrequently collaborate with team members and actively contribute to discussions with a solution-oriented mindsetMonitor and maintain development materials and supply inventoryAssist with the administration of donor database records ensuring accuracy and donor confidentialityPeriodically coordinate events, tours, site-visit, and attend events on behalf of the companyMaintain development-related prospect and distribution listsStay apprised of company updates and effectively communicate relevant information to supportersVolunteersAct as lead volunteer coordinator responsible for volunteer communications, screening, onboarding, scheduling, and on-site supervision.Monitor all branded channels for volunteer-related inquiries and promptly take the appropriate actionAct as primary point of contact for volunteer project coordination, check-in, and provide day-of-project supervisionLead the development of new volunteer projects ensuring detailed project plans are recorded; Guarantee all needs are satisfied at least 24-hours before the project beginsMaintain the volunteer calendar and provide regular updates to key staff members Maintain the volunteer database by overseeing data entry and report generationRegularly communicate volunteer needs to supporters and stay apprised of emerging departmental volunteer needs Event SupportRegularly attend community events and actively recruit new supportersRecruit, train, and supervise volunteers at company eventsCoordinate pre/post-event communications to a variety of audiencesMaintain accurate event-related lists (i.e. guests, sponsors, table assignments, etc.)Supervisory ResponsibilitiesVolunteers on campusQualificationsBachelor's degree or 2 years of related experience in a fundraising, development, volunteer, or marketing roleProficient in using Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)Experience utilizing marketing email platforms (Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, etc.)Experience working with Volunteer/Donor Databases is a plusMust have a valid driver's license and all offers are contingent on background/drug screeningCompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExemplary work ethic, problem-solving skills, and initiativeEffective verbal and written communication and follow-up skillsFlexibility to adapt to changing prioritiesResponsiveness and professionalismFlexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as neededPhysical Requirements and/or Working ConditionsAbility to lift and carry objects of 50 poundsMust be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periodsMust have the flexibility to bend, crouch, walk, kneel, and sit for prolonged periodsMust have manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, and reachingOrganized, proactive, positive, solution-focused, good interpersonal skills, works independentlyThis organization is a 501(c)(3) faith-based organization exempt from Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended.
