Job Title: EstimatorLocation: Elk Grove Village, ILSalary: Up to $90,000 depending on experienceBonus: Up to 20% annual bonus (has been paid in full the last 3 years)Seeking 5+ years of estimating experience in manufacturing environment Should have a general knowledge of pricing metal fab or wood manufacturing processesThe more knowledge of multi-materials the better including wood, metal, plastics, glass, etc.Knowledge of costs for all phases of the manufacturing processesCAD design knowledge preferred but not requiredJob SummaryThe Estimator will support engineering to work within the component driven modular fixture system to expand and develop cost effective design solutions for standard and custom applications. They will work closely with members of the engineering and sales team to quote unique design solutions for the client.The estimator will have the responsibility for estimating retail store fixtures, custom millwork, and accessories. Price estimates are established using quoting methods and procedures, these estimates are based on ensuring current cost to produce are maintained. Exceptional time management and attention to details and process will be critical. This task will be accomplished through a strong team spirit, exceptional time management skills, attention to detail and an extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for price estimation for custom fixtures & accessoriesDetermine material and labor estimates according to customer specificationCoordinate with Engineer Manager to provide design recommendations to best suit customer and company interestsResearch and specify materials to be used on products, when neededSolicit vendor/subcontractor quotesCompare estimated to post production actual costs to verify quoting accuracyRequired Technical Skills5+ years of experience in Retail Store Fixture or equivalent estimatingAssociate's degree or higher in engineering/design/project management or equivalent, bachelor's degree is preferredKnowledge of multi-materials including wood, metal, plastics, glass, etc.Extensive knowledge of costs for all phases of the manufacturing processes, fabrication of metal fixtures & custom millworkExperience using 3D solid modeling, preferably Autodesk Inventor a Plus (Not Required)Good numeracy and computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Working understanding of ERP softwareAbility to express oneself professionally utilizing both verbal and written communicationsAbility to problem-solve quickly and effectivelyAbility to produce under pressure of timelines and customer demandsAbility to prioritize and work independently on multiple small projects simultaneously ensuring all key dates are met while maintaining the highest level of accuracyRequired Personal SkillsAbility to communicate quickly, clearly, and effectively across multiple departmentsConfidently interact with customers, peers, and cross functional teamsAbility to work successfully in a strong team environmentExcellent communicatorSuperior organizational skills
