Role and Responsibility:Lead electrical engineering projects from start to finish, making sure they are completed on time, within budget, and with high quality.Design system that stimulates heart and muscle tissues in lab experiments ranging from long term incubation through short term experimentsWrite code for both the backend (stimulator) and frontend (user interfaces) to help biologists analyze data.Small Batch Manufacturing - Design and buildcircuits for generating prototypes of generators and stimulatorsMonitor and fix electrical issues in existing systems like servers, incubators, and microscopes.Mentor and train colleagues in electrical engineering.Work with other teams (mechanical, software, biology) to ensure projects run smoothly.Good Documentation Practice throughout the product lifecycle.Maintain design documentation, write test reports, and create standard operating procedures.Looking for: Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field6+ years of experience in electrical engineeringMedical Device Manufacturing experience for understanding of regulations and quality standardsStrong programming skills in languages including Python, SQL, and C/C++.Proficiency with hardware and database libraries as well as versioning of code, data, and system architecture.Experience with microcontrollers and or FPGARapid prototyping from bread board to PCB with hands on experience with tools including soldering equipment, oscilloscopes, waveform generators and multimetersDynamic communication between teams and mentoring engineers.Nice to haves:Software experience with CAD, PSPICE, and MATLAB.Experience with ingle board microcontrollers such as Arduino are a plus.Familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.Manufacturing in a regulated industry (medical device, aviation, military, pharma)Proficiency in core statistical concepts, including engineering applications of DOE and control charting.
