With a collaborative culture and in-house expertise across media platforms, we are proud to keep our clients a step ahead of their competitors.What We're Looking For: Merkley+Partners is seeking a Paid Media Specialist with 3-5 years of experience managing local media campaigns to support new store openings/re-openings and other localized events for a national retailer. This role involves planning, executing, and optimizing localized paid media campaigns across channels such as radio, digital, OOH and TV. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering impactful local media solutions that drive awareness and foot traffic for our client's new store launches.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Campaign Strategy and Execution:Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute localized media plans for new store openings, utilizing a mix of radio, OOH, TV, digital, social and print channels.Manage campaign workflows, including ad placement, creative approvals, and asset delivery, to ensure seamless execution.Partner with the client's print buying & production team to coordinate production and distribution of promotional materials, including banners, signage, and branded items.Work with wider planning and strategy team to integrate local strategies into quarterly plans.Performance Analysis and Optimization:Monitor campaign performance across all media channels and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.Use analytics tools to track key metrics, including impressions, engagement, and foot traffic, and prepare client-facing performance reports.Evaluate campaign ROI and adjust strategies to meet or exceed performance goals.Client Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with the client's internal marketing team and store operations team to align paid media campaigns with new store opening objectives.Serve as the primary point of contact for local media efforts, providing regular updates and insights on campaign progress.Present plans and reports to the client, ensuring clarity and alignment with their goals.Event Support:Support media planning for key new store launch phases, including groundbreaking, soft openings, and grand openings or re-openings.Ensure alignment of paid media efforts with on-site events, such as ribbon cuttings, community activities, and special giveaways.Coordinate with creative teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all assets.Industry Awareness:Stay informed on emerging trends in local advertising, including geo-targeted campaigns and audience segmentation.Monitor updates across media platforms and channels, identifying opportunities to enhance campaign effectiveness.Required Skills:Experience working with advanced targeting tactics in local markets.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for budget management and data analysis.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.Comfort presenting campaign strategies and performance insights to clients.Proficiency in PowerPoint for building impactful client presentations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, or similar platforms.Experience working with market and audience research tools such as MRI and Scarborough.Knowledge of retail or multi-location businesses and their unique marketing challenges.Genuine enthusiasm for crafting campaigns that connect with local audiences.
