Software Engineer - Buyside Treasury Team

A global multi-strategy hedge fund seeks an experienced engineer to join their front office team and help provide the infrastructure and technology needed for senior stakeholders to make informed and strategic trade decisions. As an engineer on the Treasury Technology team, this individual will be tasked with a variety of business critical initiatives relating to trade allocation. These tasks will be integral to the success of the firm's strategies and will relate to a number of investment related activities including liquidity management, risk mitigation, cash flow optimization, and more. This high-visibility role provides the opportunity to develop innovative technology that will be leveraged by business leaders and drive overall growth and success for a leading financial institution.Responsibilities: Active involvement in all phases of the software development life cycle relating to tools and applications supporting the trade allocation process Design real-time trade processing systems Develop and maintain systems capable of handling high volumes of trade data in an efficient and accurate manner Collaborate with senior business stakeholders in order to ensure systems and processes are supported Develop and integrate testing technology relating to unit tests, integration tests, and automated scriptsQualifications: Ability to develop and troubleshoot technology relating to trade allocation systems Experience with real-time data processing, as well as low-latency, high-throughput trading environments Strong proficiency in Python and Java (4+ years) Database systems experience and proficiency in SQL Strong understanding of post-trade processes and trading workflows Knowledge of both OMS and EMS Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, or related field
