The company offers a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to help bring their designs to life.Job Summary:As an Assistant Textile Technologist, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the design intent for prints, patterns, and graphics is successfully executed by working closely with the Print and Graphic Design teams, as well as global vendors. You will help track the progress of print development, manage product readiness, and support the team to meet critical milestones for new collections.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with print/graphic designers to align on strike-off approvals and ensure the design intent is met.Coordinate the handoff of prints, patterns, and graphics packages to regions and vendors for strike-off requests. Ensure that strike-offs, handlooms, and knit-downs are received and prepared for milestone meetings.Work closely with the manager and design teams to review prints, patterns, and graphics; provide feedback and corrections to mills under the manager's guidance.Maintain the seasonal Centric tracking chart, ensuring all prints, patterns, and graphics are captured and tracked to facilitate communication with global partners.Manage deadlines for print, pattern, and graphic approvals and communicate any delays to the manager.Partner with the team to learn and apply printing techniques, understanding limitations based on fabric types and machine capabilities.Maintain the fabric library for strike-offs and reference files.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Apparel Production Management, Textile Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Basic understanding of textile printing, yarn dyes, and graphic manufacturing processes.Basic knowledge of the printing process, including how print patterns and graphic developments affect the product development cycle.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Centric, and basic Photoshop skills.Ability to self-manage and work independently while contributing to a team environment.Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-driven.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in apparel textile printing or product development within the fashion industry.Background in print and graphic design tech roles.Ability to handle multiple seasons and product types simultaneously.Key Soft Skills:Curiosity and responsibility with a positive and team-driven mindset.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Detail-oriented with a problem-solving approach.Additional Information:The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in apparel-related roles, preferably with corporate work experience, though entry-level candidates with the right skills are also welcome.The role requires close collaboration with overseas factories, managing deadlines for the timely submission of strike-offs and ensuring design accuracy.Why Join Us?This is a unique opportunity to support a leading brand's textile technology team, helping drive the success of their seasonal product lines.
