Position Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Ann Arbor, MIHourly Rate: $28 - $34 per hour, depending on experienceShift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift availableJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing company in Detroit, MI. This role focuses on the maintenance and repair of plastic processing equipment, specifically injection molding and blow molding machines, as well as auxiliary systems. This is a 1st shift opportunity, with immediate openings.Core ResponsibilitiesInspect and troubleshoot injection molding and blow molding machinery, as well as auxiliary equipment.Dismantle machines to diagnose issues and perform repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.Carry out preventive maintenance tasks on molding machines and other plastic processing equipment.Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems related to molding processes.Conduct tests to verify proper machine functionality and identify potential issues.Update and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and schedules.Collaborate with team members to promote a safe and efficient working environment.Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and other special projects as needed.QualificationsExperience: 2-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in plastic processing environments, specifically with injection and blow molding equipment.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems used in injection molding.Experience working with molding presses, cooling systems, and auxiliary machinery.Ability to troubleshoot using techniques like root cause analysis.Electrical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical circuits, panels, and PLCs.Mechanical Skills: Skilled in working with pumps, piping systems (PVC/black pipe), and welding.Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret technical schematics for injection and blow molding systems.Strong organizational and communication skills, with a team-oriented approach.Ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with robotics and automation systems in injection molding environments.Certifications in injection molding processes or related technologies.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Benefits401(k) plan with company matching contributions.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.Paid time off (PTO) and life insurance options.Tuition reimbursement and an employee referral program.If you have experience with injection and blow molding systems and are ready to join a dynamic team, please apply now for immediate consideration!
