Headquartered in New York City, The Levy Group manages, elevates, and builds the long-term value of consumer brands by partnering with best-in-class manufacturers and retailers.Position SummaryThe Distribution Coordinator position supports the Director of Distribution to ensure the smooth operation of Volcom's distribution activities with our 3PL partners. This position involves managing inventory flow, coordinating shipments, maintaining vendor and carrier relationships, and ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. This is a non-exempt position with mileage reimbursement and the opportunity for overtime.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPartner with warehouse teams to optimize storage and ensure timely picking, packing, and shipping.Act as a liaison between internal departments (sales, production, and customer service) and external partners to ensure alignment and address any distribution-related concerns.Ensure all distribution processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, including import/export regulations.Prepare and analyze distribution reports, such as delivery performance metrics, cost analyses, and inventory turnover rates.Identify inefficiencies in the distribution process and recommend solutions to improve accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness.Prepare and manage distribution plans for peak seasons to accommodate increased order volumes.Track all VAS requests for timely completion. Maintain corporate routing guide. Oversee the returns process, ensuring defective or returned items are properly handled, documented, and restocked as appropriate.QualificationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field .2+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.Knowledge of retail or apparel industry distribution is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software. BlueCherry a plus.
