Construction Estimator

Position Overview:The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in the preconstruction phase, preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale commercial, educational, and multifamily projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure thorough cost analysis and project feasibility.Key Responsibilities:Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to assess project scope and budget constraints.Prepare quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment.Identify potential cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.Present estimates and participate in pre-bid meetings with clients and leadership.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably with a General Contractor.Strong background in commercial, education, and multifamily projects.Experience estimating projects valued at $25M or more.Proficiency in estimating software (such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or Timberline).Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
