Our client, a fashion consultancy company, is seeking a Production Manager to join their team in NYC asap!Hours: Work requires timely communication with overseas vendors, factories. While the general hours are (approximately) 9am - 6pm, the hours can vary due the business's dependence on offshore partners.Pay: $50-55/hour, converting to 110,000 - $115,000Location: In-Office Position - MidtownRole Description:Manage product lifecycle process from development to bulk, ensuring deliverables are on time, in accordance with deadlines and goalsWork with company founder to develop sourcing strategies, production planning, and target costing for all clients/brandsManage the flow of the approval process from development through to production: liaising with the client and vendor from initial tech pack handoff to production completionResponsible for ensuring all tech packs/BOM's are compliant, proofread and up to dateOversee the entire development, fit and production process, from design, color, fabric and trim development to proto fittings, PPS, SMS, and TOP samplesGenerate and keep updated all tools used for reporting: Time & Action Calendar, Cost Logs and the Work In Progress (WIP) report on a daily basis; provide analysis and insights that enhance quality of work deliveredFoster strong relationships with clients by providing consistent and timely updates, and delivering on commitments madeBalance providing client service across multiple brands of all different levels and stylesPartner with QC team and overseas factories to troubleshoot issuesAd hoc project support to PresidentQualifications:5+ years' experience in fashion production management and productionExperience partnering with start-up brands and independent and emerging designers to help them create their brandDemonstrated knowledge of cost components involved in process, and ability to drive marginExperience project managing end-to-end process in fashionExperience partnering with overseas vendors and manufacturersExperience working in a small businessMust be a highly skilled and diplomatic communicatorStrong written communication skillsCustomer service orientationMust enjoy roles that require tremendous attention to detail as well as flawless follow up skillsStrong problem-solving skills, as well as an ability to influenceUnderstanding and acceptance of keeping business hours (being available) for needs that arise off-hours due to the nature of this business which relies on overseas vendors and manufacturing partnersMust be proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel (expert level), and PowerPoint
