About the companyRecover is a startup working to make mental health and addiction treatment more effective, accessible, and affordable. We work with governments to use evidence-based care and medicine to improve outcomes for people who need treatment. We are working to make sure low-income Americans have access to best-in-class treatment.Our program is for people with mental health and substance use challenges. We use a harm reduction approach to treatment, and are focused on serving marginalized and underserved communities. We are a small team growing quickly, and looking for people to grow with us.Our team includes people from Yale Law, UCLA School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and White House alums.The opportunityAs a case manager, you'll work directly with clients to help them access services and resources as they progress through substance use disorder treatment. You'll serve as patients first point of contact with our program, and assist with enrollment and support. Most of your time will be spent meeting with clients to identify their individual recovery needs and then connecting them to appropriate services and resources, and helping them navigate those resources. You will be expected to develop a relationship with your clients and help guide them through their recovery journey, particularly when it comes to encouraging them to follow through on the resources / opportunities you have linked them to. You will also collaborate regularly with the rest of the treatment team consisting of the medical director, nurse practitioners, and counselors to provide comprehensive treatment plans for clients. You will also be responsible for various administrative tasks from time to time. This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable working independently, will take ownership of client care and build rapport, and who works well in a collaborative team environment. You'll have the opportunity to grow with us.This role is full time and based in San Diego (locations in North County, South County, and Hillcrest). You will report to the Program Manager for the program you are part of. Salary commensurate with experience, and the position includes benefits.
