We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and self-starting Associate to contribute to the expansion of Nearwater's Risk Retention group.Nearwater's Risk Retention business is focused on providing asset-backed securitization sponsors (ABS, CLO, CMBS, RMBS) with financing for their retained risk retention interests in compliance with Dodd-Frank and EU/UK Securitization Regulation requirementsRole / Job Description:Support the Risk Retention team in the execution of financing transactions across multiple securitization asset classes (ABS, CLO, CMBS, RMBS)Cultivate and grow client relationships to originate and drive business development and become a trusted partnerPrepare marketing materials and presentations for client meetings with global investment and PE firms, managers and sponsorsConduct research and analysis on potential sponsors for lead prospecting and risk retention recommendationsDevelop cash flow models of financing terms and structure for client reviewDrive legal document negotiations, coordinating all aspects of transaction financing including the review of transaction terms and related governing documentsMaintain an up-to-date pipeline database of prospective and current clientsMonitor upcoming securitization market activity and any relevant market trendsSkills and Experience:Finance, Economics, or Business Management are preferred major fieldsTeam Mentality: Partnering effectively to drive our culture and execute on our common goals.Business Acumen: Appreciation and understanding of the structured finance market in order to make sound business decisions.Critical Thinking: Thoughtful process of analyzing data and problem solving data to reach a well-reasoned solution.Outstanding communication and presentation skillsProficient with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPointExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSolid work ethic and passion to learn and growAbility to multi-task and work with numerous colleagues in a fast-paced environmentIdeal candidate will have at least 5-8 years of relevant experience in structured finance and/or securitized products with emphasis on structuring or capital-raisingactivities.What Else You'll Get:Nearwater offers an attractive market compensation and benefits package including, health, dental & vision benefits, life insurance, paid vacation and paid holidays.
