ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYAs a Design Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of the interior design process for large scale residential projects by collaborating closely with a Junior Designer, Senior Designer, and Management. This is an onsite role and candidates must reside or relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area. Parking is provided!WHAT WE OFFERFull time, hourly, non exempt15 Days PTO - increases with tenure9 Paid Holidays Health, Dental, Vision and HSA Benefits401K w/ 4% match Health & Wellness Stipend - $100/moCell Phone Stipend - $100/moESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:Collaborate with Project Lead on all phases of the design process from conception to installationSource materials, fixtures, fabrics, and furnishingsMaintain FF&E schedules, issue specifications for lighting, materials and millwork, and execute orders with work rooms, vendors and subcontractorsTrack and maintain spreadsheets, budgets, quotes, proposals, and purchase ordersProcure and obtain pricing for all productsProduce design presentations and mood boards Compile and organize design and construction documents for client presentationsLiaise with suppliers and vendorsManage vendors and design libraryQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture 0-2 years of experience in the residential design industryProficiency in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Mac Applications and Google Workspace. Familiarity with Studio Designer, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Microsoft Office a plus. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skillsResourceful and eager to learn with the ability to hit the ground running Self-starter, motivated, organized, detail oriented, talented, creative, and diligentAbility to work on multiple projects efficiently under deadlines in a fast-paced, busy, and creative atmosphereExperience maintaining interiors drawing sets including furniture and lighting plans, elevations, tile and stone layouts, and millwork details a plusExperience maintaining FFE schedules, issue specifications for lighting, materials and millwork a plusEfficient with an ability to take initiative and problem solve independentlyProactive, flexible, dependable, and service orientedCurrent driver's license with reliable transportationHOW TO APPLYEmail your resume, portfolio and cover letter to (not .com) with "Design Assistant - San Francisco" in the subject line.
