Position Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's volunteer and internship programs by overseeing the recruitment, initial phases of onboarding, and overall management of volunteers and interns. This position requires a dedicated individual who is outgoing and shares a passion for community service. The volunteer coordinator will demonstrate ability to cultivate relationships with diverse groups of people. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, organized, community-oriented, and creative.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Training Department to implement training programs for volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared and informed.Lead recruitment initiatives that are centered on attracting new volunteers and interns by fostering partnerships with local educational institutions.Manage volunteer database to track volunteer activities and engagement.Lead efforts in recruiting volunteers through various channels, including social media platforms, community events, and outreach programs.Collaborate with program directors to coordinate volunteer schedules.Foster a positive and inclusive environment for volunteers and interns by providing ongoing support, feedback, and recognition.Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and opportunities within the organization.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.Demonstrate strong leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of volunteers and interns.EXPERIENCE:at least 1-2 years of proven experience in volunteer or internship management or related experience required1-2 years of proven experience demonstrating a strong commitment to community service preferredEDUCATION:Associates Degree requiredBachelors Degree in Communications, Human Services, Business Administration preferred
