Job Title: NETA TechnicianLocation: Denver, COJob Description:We are seeking a certified NETA Technician to join our client's team in Denver, CO. This role involves performing testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of power systems and a commitment to maintaining compliance with industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform acceptance testing, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays.Conduct diagnostic tests such as insulation resistance, power factor, Tan Delta, VLF/hipot testing, and cable fault location.Calibrate and test protective relays (electromechanical and microprocessor-based).Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment to address performance issues.Prepare detailed test reports, documentation, and maintenance records.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project goals and schedules.Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, arc flash protection, and NFPA 70E compliance.Rotate on-call duties to respond promptly to customer emergencies.Qualifications:NETA Level II, III, or IV certification preferred.Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, maintenance, or commissioning.Proficiency with testing equipment such as Doble, Omicron, and Fluke meters.Familiarity with industry standards, including NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E.Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Valid driver's license with willingness to travel locally or regionally.Preferred Skills:Experience with medium and high-voltage systems (up to 500kV).Military training in electrical power systems (e.g., Army Prime Power, Navy Seabee, Air Force Electrical Power Production) is a plus.Knowledge of PowerDB or similar testing platforms.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Paid time off and holiday pay.Opportunities for professional development and NETA certification advancement.Why Join Us:As a NETA Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems across diverse industries.
