Machinist

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate has experience in machining complex parts, interpreting blueprints, and adhering to strict quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce aerospace components according to specifications.Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate production.Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Work closely with engineers and quality control teams to meet production goals and resolve technical issues.Document work performed and maintain accurate records of machine settings and part measurements.Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace industry standards.Qualifications & Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Experience with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) is a plus.Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials, including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform quality checks on machined components.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
