LaSalle Network is in search of a Logistics Coordinator for one of our leading clients in the CPG/Food & Beverage industries. This role is responsible for managing logistics activities, including purchase order entry, shipment tracking, customs clearance, and transportation scheduling to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking problem solver with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent communication skills.Logistics CoordinatorResponsibilities:Process and manage purchase orders for imports from Australian suppliers and other vendorsEnsure order accuracy and timeliness by tracking shipments and proactively addressing delaysCommunicate vessel schedules and shipment updates to inbound warehouses ahead of arrivalsCoordinate USDA inspections, customs clearance, and warehouse deliveries to maintain complianceInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by working closely with internal teamsMaintain and share missing document lists with suppliers to ensure timely receiptFile and manage necessary import paperwork (ISF, TRQ) before shipments arriveUpdate logistics tracking details in Syspro and Translution to maintain accurate inventory recordsServe as the primary point of contact for inbound orders, documentation, and schedulingProvide timely updates to customers regarding shipping and arrival schedulesMonitor and track demurrage and detention to minimize extra costs and ensure smooth operationsFollow up on inspections and coordinate shipments to meet customer deadlinesProcess customer claims and ensure prompt resolution of any shipping or delivery issuesAnalyze logistics processes and suggest improvements for operational efficiencyAddress and resolve shipping or receiving issues by working closely with warehouses, carriers, and customersAssist sales staff and internal teams with logistics-related inquiries and tasksLogistics CoordinatorRequirements:Experience in refrigerated warehousing and protein imports preferredStrong understanding of order entry, inbound/outbound scheduling, and logistics trackingKnowledge of import regulations and documentation processesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teamsProblem-solving skills to address logistical and operational challengesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment This role is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional looking to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced supply chain environment.
