Our client is a leading nonprofit known for serving the San Francisco Bay Area with award-winning programs. We're looking for a Chief Program Officer to provide strategic oversight of program development, program implementation, assessment of current programs, in addition to budget development and management.Reporting to the Executive Director, this is an exciting & rewarding opportunity!RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the implementation and execution of programs, ensuring they are aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and values.Monitor financial performance, manage grant allocations, and ensure financial sustainability for all programs.Oversee the development, management, and tracking of program budgets, ensuring optimal use of resources while achieving desired outcomes.Continuously assess current programs to ensure effectiveness and relevance, and drive improvements based on data-driven insights and feedback.Create and refine program models that reflect best practices and are scalable to meet evolving needs.Monitor financial performance, manage grant allocations, establish KPIs, and ensure financial sustainability for all programs.Collaborate with the finance team to provide reports on program spending and impact and make data-driven adjustments, as necessary.Manage and mentor a high-performing large program team and staff fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.Collaborate with the finance team to provide reports on program spending and impact and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.Partner with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to support fundraising and advocacy initiatives.Regularly present updates on program performance, challenges, and successes to the Board of Directors.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree required, Master's degree in social work, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management and leadership in the education or children youth advocacy social service nonprofit sector (preferred).Proven track record in scalable Program Development & ManagementExperience working with C-suite executives and Board members.Demonstrated capacity leading, mentoring large teams and delivering results-driven programs.Strong analytical & evaluation skills with expertise in strategic planning, and fiscal responsibilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.Capable in adapting to changing circumstances and effectively manage complex situations.Results-oriented and outcomes-driven with demonstrated aptitude for taking on challenges with a proactive, problem-solving approach.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
