Are you a highly skilled Trust and Estate Paralegal with deep expertise in taxes and estate settlement? We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and help guide clients through the complexities of estate planning and administration. This is on site for a well established law firm in Hartford CT.What's in it for you? Assist in the preparation and filing of estate tax returns (Form 706, 1041, etc.)Provide support with probate and non-probate estate administration, including asset identification, creditor claims, and distributionsPrepare and maintain trust documentation, including amendments, funding, and distributionsCoordinate with accountants, financial advisors, and tax professionals to ensure timely filing and accurate reportingCommunicate with beneficiaries and executors to provide updates and answer questions regarding estate mattersManage complex tax-related issues within estates and trusts, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulationsAssist with the preparation of court filings and related documentationWhat Qualifications must I have? 3+ years of experience as a Trust and Estate ParalegalIn-depth knowledge of federal and state estate, gift, and income tax lawsStrong understanding of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorneyExperience working with probate courts, tax professionals, and financial institutionsExcellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsParalegal certification and/or degree preferred but not require experience is just as valued, with a specialization in estate planning or taxation a plusAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
