What's the job?The Director of Internal Communications will report to the Senior Director, Communications and be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies within Saint-Gobain. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all employees are well-informed, engaged, and aligned with the company's mission, values, and goals. The Director will work closely with employees at all levels of the organization to drive communication initiatives that align with Saint-Gobain's purpose, vision and values to support organizational change, culture, and employee engagement. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills to drive measurable results.What will you do?Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies that support the company's objectives and enhance employee engagement.Stay informed of evolving industry trends and recommend a mix of digital and traditional communication platforms to reach and engage colleagues across 145+ manufacturing sites and offices in North America.Oversee the creation of high-quality internal communications content, including strategic campaigns, newsletters, emails, videos, presentations, mobile apps, digital displays, manufacturing site toolkits and intranet updates.Develop initiatives that foster a positive organizational culture and promote employee engagement, including employee safety, recognition programs, internal events, town halls, and feedback mechanismsResponsible for guiding the development of a high-performance team of skilled internal communicators, translating communications strategy into actionable plans and prioritiesWork closely with key stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment and integration of communication strategy and prioritiesLead communication efforts related to organizational changes, ensuring that employees are informed and supported throughout the change processMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives, using metrics and feedback to continuously improveEnsure all activities of the internal communications department are executed within assigned budgetCollaborate with Director of Crisis and Community Relations to develop and implement internal crisis communication plans to ensure timely and effective communication during emergencies.What do you bring?Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism10+ years of experience management internal communications, with a proven track record of development and executing successful communication strategies and campaigns.A minimum of 3-5 years managing and developing teams in a leadership positionExceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership and project management abilitiesExperience working with senior leadership and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organizationProficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including intranets, email marketing software, mobile apps and other digital and traditional mediaAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesStrong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvementsWhat are our perks?We provide unique options to fit your unique lives!
