Facility Manager PositionWythe HotelAbout UsThe Wythe Hotel, housed in a restored 1901 factory building on the Williamsburg waterfront, has defined Brooklyn hospitality since opening in 2012. We are seeking a highly organized, hands on Facility Manager to join our leadership team and oversee all aspects of building operations and maintenance for our historic property. This role requires someone who understands the delicate balance between preserving authentic industrial character while maintaining modern luxury standards.The RoleAs Facility Manager, you will lead our engineering team in maintaining our unique property, which includes 69 rooms, multiple food and beverage outlets including the acclaimed Le Crocodile restaurant and Bar Blondeau, and various event spaces. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance programs, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring the seamless operation of all building systems while preserving the historic integrity of our spaces.Core ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementDirect and mentor a team of four maintenance engineersDevelop and implement training programsCreate and maintain standard operating proceduresSchedule staff effectively across all shiftsFoster a culture of preventive maintenance and continuous improvementTechnical OperationsOversee all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safetyDevelop and execute preventive maintenance programsManage room maintenance and guest service requestsEnsure compliance with all building codes and regulationsMaintain building automation systemsOversee energy management initiativesProject ManagementPlan and execute capital improvement projectsManage vendor relationships and contractsOversee equipment lifecycle planningCoordinate with contractors and specialized service providersDevelop and maintain maintenance budgetsImplement cost control measuresQuality ControlEstablish and monitor maintenance standardsConduct regular building inspectionsEnsure completion of preventive maintenance tasksMaintain accurate documentation and recordsMonitor and improve energy efficiencyOversee inventory managementRequired Experience & Skills & Technical ExpertiseElectrical and plumbing knowledgeExperience with building automation systemsUnderstanding of life safety systemsKnowledge of local building codesCuriosity and interest in developing a deep understanding of the systems and equipment at Wythe HotelProfessional ExperienceMinimum 5-10 years of maintenance/production/building experience3+ years in a supervisory roleProject management expertiseLeadership SkillsProven team management experienceStrong vendor relationship managementExcellent communication abilitiesBudget management experienceEmergency response coordinationTraining and development capabilityPersonal QualitiesMeticulous attention to detailStrong problem-solving abilitiesCalm under pressureGuest service orientedTeam-focused mindsetPhysical RequirementsAbility to be on feet for extended periodsCapable of lifting 50 poundsComfortable working in various conditionsAbility to climb ladders and access confined spacesValid driver's license requiredSchedule RequirementsFull-time position with flexible scheduleMust be available for emergency responseSome weekend and holiday coverage requiredOn-call rotation participation expectedCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $100,000 - $110,000Comprehensive health benefitsPaid time offProfessional development allowanceMeal benefitsHotel room, Restaurant and Bar discountsCareer DevelopmentOpportunity to build and shape departmentProfessional certification supportIndustry training participationLeadership development programsProject management experienceBudget management experienceHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume, cover letter, and professional references to careers@.
