The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and working on the production line and machinery to ensure safe and efficient production operations. The Mechanic reports to the Maintenance Manager and supports the daily operations of the facility by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.Primary Responsibilities:Perform repairs on facility equipment, including bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, seals, motors, couplings, and other components.Perform routine repairs and maintenance on forklifts, including inspections, oil changes, and battery care.Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.Assist with production line setups and changeovers as needed.Identify, document, and report damaged, worn, or malfunctioning parts.Clean and maintain machinery and parts, including disassembling and reassembling as required.Oil and lubricate moving parts to ensure proper machine performance.Replace worn parts and install new components as needed.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical breakdowns efficiently.Assist in organizing and maintaining the shop area, tools, and inventory.Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance work, and parts usage.Coordinate with managers to prioritize and schedule equipment maintenance.Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.Qualifications:Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, and pneumatics (preferred but not required).Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing/production environment is a must.Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
