Sample Coordinator

Job Title: Sample CoordinatorDuration: 6-8 weeks with possible extensionLocation: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)Pay Rate: $22- $24/hr ResponsibilitiesResponsible for processing (opening, unboxing, unpacking) organizing, and tracking samplesConduct Quality Assurance of all incoming samples with product data against merchandisePartner with the merchandising team to obtain ETA's (Estimated Time of Arrivals) and report data to requesting teamsManage sample logistics and work with partners to effectively communicate product prioritizationRoute and track samples according to order requirements and desired destinationsCollaborates and works diligently to find solutions to sample challengesAdheres to schedule requirements and reports issues as needed to manage partner expectationsTakes a keen approach to learning and researching products to enhance their ability to identify issues and inconsistencies in the merchandiseAlways mindful of the sample process and adds value by continuing to improve efficiency, streamlined procedures, and proactive communication.Experience, Skills & QualificationsRequire a High School GED/DiplomaPreferred but not required: a certificate of completion for another form of further education such as an accredited business college, city college, or university, or is in the process of doing so.Preferred but not required: Proficient working knowledge of Mac and PC computing platforms with excellent skills in Microsoft Office Excel and other Office programs.Experience with database management toolsExcellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and English proficiency (verbal and written)Prior experience in retail, sample coordination, or managing stock inventory will be highly regardedHas an acute sense of urgency, understands how to prioritize tasks according to critical needs, and is extremely organizedAbility to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environmentProven ability to meet stringent deadlinesIs obsessed with accuracy and pays great attention to detailSelf-motivator, proactive, and works independentlyPosition requires prolonged periods standing and kneelingMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
