Senior Mechanical Engineer

Raise Robotics creates robots to build the world's physical infrastructure. Our first product is MetalMan, a mobile manipulator for automating physically demanding work on construction sites. You will also have the opportunity to travel to major metropolitan areas in the US for on-site deployments.For this role, we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineerwho will contribute to the mechanical designs of a mobile manipulator for construction applications.What we're looking for:At least 3 years of experience working in industry.Previous experience working with robotics or automation systems.Familiarity with standard CAD and mechanical simulation software.Strong understanding of electricity.Experience with manufacturing, CAM, and fabrication.Great hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting skills.Desire to work closely with others in a cross functional and dynamic setting.(Plus) Previous experience designing end effectors for robot arms.What you'll do:Create CAD designs for mechatronic systems, integrating motors, sensors, and pneumatics.Make drawings for fabrications and place orders with suppliers.Physically prototype and test designs.Create test jigs and test fabricated designs.Work closely with other team members to align on requirements and provide information.Raise Robotics is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive company culture, and does not discriminate against candidates and employees because of their disability, sex, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, veteran status, or any other protected status under the law.
