SummaryThe Proposal Engineer works under the guidance of a Senior Proposal Engineer and/or the Manager/Director of Sales. The Proposal Engineer is expected to understand the assembly process, develop tooling methodologies, automated solutions, transfer technology, systems integration, and the associated CAD models for the system. Additionally, the Proposal Engineer is responsible for understanding and executing the technical solution.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Interact with the Senior Proposal Engineer and/or Manager/Director of Sales to understand the customer's project scope and work toward a comprehensive and effective technical solution.Work in roles of increasing responsibility while developing skills through experience and training.Ability to develop, evaluate, and compare technical studies.Write a complete proposal document.Render CAD files using Keyshot software for proposals and presentations.Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while handling multiple assignments.Line up estimating and ensure that estimating understands the complete project content (tooling, mechanical, automation, software, personnel, commissioning, FAT, SAT, etc.).Understand and assist in developing a comprehensive working concept integrating manufacturing process and sequence, applicable tooling, automation concept and integration.Work with supplier partners.·Understand project execution plan and equipment content.Perform cycle / takt time analysis.Coordinate with simulation group for studies when applicable.Request quotations for purchased items from supplier partners and KUKA internal sources (tooling, mechanical, software, etc.)Interact with customer technical personnel and SME's through the proposal process (reviews, questions/clarifications from customer and KUKA proposal team, final presentation, etc.).Position may require international travel; personnel must have a passport or be willing to obtain one.Understand and follow safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.Adhere to the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement.Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.Education Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.KUKA is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.
