Central Bark Sheboygan is looking to add another EXPERIENCED groomer to our team. At Central Bark Sheboygan you will have the flexibility to do what you love while making your own schedule.This position is part time to start. Full time can be an option once you get settled in and grow your clientele.Central Bark is the premier doggy day care, grooming, and training facility in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. You will set your schedule and have an already established clientele of day care, training, and groom only clients. You will work independently but also be part of a team. We offer a fun, friendly, positive working environment where our culture is what makes us great! Hours available are Monday through Friday. This position is W2 commission based pay.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:-Must have experience and knowledge to groom all breeds to AKC standard or as requested by owner.-Must be able to communicate properly with each pet parent in a positive manner-Bathe and dry pets-Trim or shear animal coats according to owner specifications-Clip or file pet's nails as necessary-Perform ear cleaning/plucking services as necessary-Maintaining grooming records and establishing relationships with customers.-General upkeep of the groom room and keeping your work station clean.Qualifications:-The ideal candidate will be compassionate and patient with animals, possess excellent scissor and clipper skills, and have a positive, "can-do" attitude.-Must be comfortable working with various dog breeds-Have the ability to work with dogs that weigh over 60 lbs.-Applicant must have a work history of reliability, be detail oriented, exceptional customer service skills, and a team player.-1 to 3 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL GROOMING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. This experience may be in the form of a formal grooming degree or of gained working experience as an apprentice to an established groomer.-Portfolio of previous clients recommended.-It is recommended that all Groomers are current on their Tetanus vaccination.-Ability to define problems, analyze emergencies and think on your feet. Ability to deal rationally with irrational customers.Benefits:-We provide and maintain all necessary equipment (hair dryers, electric tables, crates and crate dryers, etc) and supplies (shampoos, ribbons, ear cleaner, etc). Groomers are responsible for their own grooming tools and sharpening.
