Events Manager Reporting to the Director of Global Events, the Events Manager is a critical contributor to our team for the planning and execution of MEF member events, most notably its annual Global NaaS event (GNE) in addition to telecoms industry events. The position is home based.MEF is a global industry association of network, cloud, security and technology providers working together to accelerate enterprise digital transformation. We work in a very fast paced environment managed by a small team of employees and contractors.This super energetic, confident, self-starter should be organized, detail oriented with excellent communication skills both written and verbal and possess a great attitude with the ability to coordinate multiple projects requiring tight deadlines and management. They should work well under pressure to go above and beyond working in multiple time zones.ResponsibilitiesProject management - Co-lead with Director Global Events all facets of planning and execution of our annual flagship event Global NaaS Event (GNE) featuring 500+ attendees, 40 sponsors, 70 executive speakers, develops & maintains event project plans via web-based tools, establishes deadlines, tracks actions and deadlines to meet our goals.Sponsor management -Liaison with GNE sponsors (40) managing day-to-day engagement, communications related to the program, speakers, executive videos, signage design, sponsor co-marketing activities. Tracks all deliverables associated with each sponsor to ensure deadlines and milestones included in each sponsor package are communicated and adhered to.Events Budget - Assists in the development and maintenance of events budgets to ensure project profitability & efficiency against our ROI goals.Vendor management - Research external vendors for specific events to align with budget: hotels, AV, IT services, video production, entertainment, signage, exhibit design, F&B catering, Cvent registration set-up and maintenance.Member Meetings - Manage details and execution for four Member Meetings two virtual and two in person. Hotel logistics, F&B, AV, program agendas, webpages, member communications with marketing team.Industry Events- MEF executive team participates as speakers, moderators, panelist at industry events (12-15/year) works closely with conference organizers to secure speaking slots for MEF executive team and manages all details.Event Marketing Works closely with our Marketing team to help manage event marketing activities and content contribution for member communications.Travel required to support events on-site. Qualifications & Skills10-15 years' experience managing events, domestic & internationalBachelor's Degree Business Administration or Marketing Superior project management and written communications a mustStrong knowledge & skills: Project Management Tools, Cvent, Teams, Salesforce, Microsoft, CanvaIf you're event management savvy and ready to hit the ground running, we're really keen to hear from you!
