Operations and Installation Manager

Boulo Solutions is partnering with a Birmingham based playground equipment company that is looking to hire an Operations and Installation Manager to join their growing team. We are looking for someone who is dependable and accountable all while being creative, entrepreneurial, and maintaining balance. For this role, we are looking for someone who is excited to build an installation program that serves the lower 48 states, creating processes and systems for directing and managing the installation services we provide.Hours: 8-5pmCSTSalary: Based On Experience but range can be discussed on callFlexibility: Remote with occasional meetings in office in Birmingham, ALBenefits: 50% company paid health and dental insurance, PTO, Paid HolidaysJob DescriptionHigh Level Responsibilities: we're seeking an organized and proactive Operations and Installation Coordinator to manage our installation service contractors. This role will be an important contributor to the company supply chain as we continue to grow our services and offerings. This position requires a results-driven individual who is comfortable with multi-tasking and customer service with a background in project management.Necessary Attitude: responsive and entrepreneurial spirit; ability to recognize issues and create solutions for the betterment of the company and the customer; enjoys autonomy; takes pride in the key processes of their domain; enjoys responsibility to make things more efficient while maintaining the details; communicates effectivelySuccess is: a successful candidate will be organized and understand the weeds, thrive wearing various hats in a small business, have an eye for streamlined systems, can set and accomplish their own daily agenda, and enjoy thinking through the business processes and key performance metrics.Unsuccess is: an unsuccessful candidate flies too high without understanding important details of the services, struggles without a lot of structure and systems in place, doesn't understand when and when not to follow the numbers, is not interested in any grunt work, and looks to management to prioritize their tasks.Experience and Qualifications:Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience with installation or construction contractors preferred, but not requiredAirtable (or similar database system) experience preferredKey Job ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination:Learn the ins and outs of playground installations, including mounting techniques, product specifics, and industry standardsUse planning software to manage projects and maintain detailed project notesCommunicate schedules, delays, and updates effectively to customers and installersCustomer and Installer Troubleshooting:Address customer and installer issues as they arise with professionalism and respectMake decisions regarding return trips, additional charges, and service-related mattersStrong decision-making skills and the ability to handle challenging situationsShipping and Sales Support:Support selling activities by answering more difficult installation-related questions and seeking new and innovative ways to grow product and installation salesSupport shipping, vendor, and other customer-related logistics as neededInstaller Recruitment and Training:Identify coverage area needs, recruit and onboard new installers as neededEvaluate installers and assign projects based on capabilitiesFacilitate onboarding and training for new installers to ensure quality serviceStrategic Planning and Analysis:Identify needs within the installation strategy to improve cost estimation accuracyUse data to continuously evaluate installation performance, shipping efficiency, etc.Evaluate opportunities for new products to support installationAbout Boulo: Don't let your job search end here.
