Our practice is growing, and we are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. If you have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for patient care, we'd love to hear from you!Job Description: As the Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a positive and efficient experience from the moment they enter our office. Your role is critical in supporting our clinical team and maintaining the smooth operation of our practice. You will play a key role in managing the front desk, scheduling appointments, and supporting the administrative needs of our practice.Key Responsibilities:Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and check them in/out for appointments.Answer and manage incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing patient inquiries.Verify patient insurance information and process patient registration forms.Maintain and update patient records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.Manage patient flow and assist with administrative tasks as needed.Collect co-pays or payments and assist with billing and coding as required.Collaborate closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations.Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.Perform other administrative duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or medical office training is a plus.1+ years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in an ophthalmology or healthcare setting.Proficiency in using computers and office software; familiarity with EMR systems is highly desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused attitude.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is preferred.Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus but not required.What We Offer:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and paid time off (for full-time employees).A supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.Comprehensive training and ongoing development.The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.How to Apply: If you are a dedicated and compassionate individual with a passion for patient care, we would love to hear from you!
