DOE + Comprehensive Benefits!About Us:BBSI has partnered with a premier transload organization in Fontana, CA, with over 25 years of industry leadership in railway loading, unloading, storage, and distribution. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead our facility with excellence and innovation.Position Summary:The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transload facility, ensuring peak performance, safety, and efficiency. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach to team development, operational workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day transload facility operations, including weekly yard inspections.Develop and manage workflows, staffing levels, and equipment maintenance to maintain top operational performance.Create and implement written standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational tasks.Train and develop employees, ensuring cross-training across all job functions.Establish and define job roles, mentoring future shift leads and supervisors.Manage workforce activities, including job descriptions, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.Foster a safe and productive work environment, implementing and enforcing safety programs and compliance initiatives.Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, OSHA, and local safety requirements.Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure all equipment and property are well-maintained and "tour-ready" at all times.Maintain accurate inventory controls and management.Oversee forklift training, including "train-the-trainer" program execution.Collaborate with the President on business development opportunities and operational improvements.Enhance customer service by improving efficiency in truck loading/unloading and inventory management.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery and operational processes.Execute special projects as assigned by company leadership.Qualifications:Leadership experience in operations and yard management, overseeing teams in an outdoor environment.Hands-on mechanical knowledge and industrial equipment operation experience.Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance, and training.Proficiency in inventory control, SOP development, and process optimization.Excellent communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset.Proficient Computer skillsBilingual in Spanish requiredBasic math skills for accurate product tracking and inventory control.Benefits & Perks:Premium Benefits Plan, including Kaiser Platinum Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.401(k) with Company Match to support your financial future.Paid Time Off, including holiday pay, sick pay, and vacation.Uniform Service & Boot Allowance to keep you equipped for success.Career Growth Opportunities within a thriving organization.Team-Building Events and company-sponsored perks to foster a strong workplace culture.If you are a motivated leader with a passion for operational excellence, we invite you to apply and be part of our growing success story!For immediate consideration call/text JP at 909-921-8569 and send resume to jeanette.placencia@BBSI provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws."California applicants: to see how we protect your data, visit our website at
