Steel Detailer

Job Scope:Coordination of design and drafting activities to bring project from concept to finished product. Proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office applications will greatly assist in performing this job properly. Essential Duties:Detailing structural steel structures and conveyor systemsPrevent safety issues with Southern Machinery Company equipment though designFunction as a designer as neededChecking the work of other detailers for accuracyWorking within project budgetsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficiency with related computer aided drafting software ( i.e. ACAD, Autodesk Inventor) Previous experience with ERP system is a plus Demonstrated ability and knowledge of geometry and trigonometryDisplay great attention to detailEducation Requirements:Associate degree or two year certificate from a program or technical college is preferred Experience Requirements:At least three years of relevant experience
