Job DescriptionIn this field-leadership role, the Turf Install Foreman manages a production team of 2-3 team members, including coaching, training, developing, and reinforcing safety and quality standards. Turf Install Foreman is responsible for the construction and installation of turf projects, ordering materials and scheduling deliveries, communicating with designers, clients, and subcontractors working in parallel on their project, and is responsible for the successful construction of complete turf projects.As a Turf Install Foreman, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the hands-on construction tasks, including excavation, site prep, drainage, base installation, and turf installation. Your ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals will be paramount in this role. You will deploy and manage company resources to complete projects on budget and on schedule. The job environment is constantly changing as projects and project needs change and provides growth opportunity, recognition and reward for the achievement of business results.Responsibilities include:Mastery of Turf Technician roles and responsibilities, plus:Overall management of all job site aspects of turf installations according to design plans, budgets, contract specifics, permit requirements, and inspections.Supervise and guide one or more Turf Installation Crews.Plan and oversee project workflow to include team members' and sub contractor's roles within the project.Actively work alongside and supervise, train, and participate with team members in turf project construction. Foster a positive experience for team members and clients.Demonstrate ability to work and lead productively.Perform demo and site preparation tasks such as excavation, grading, site layout, base preparation, safety foam installation, and turf installation.Pivot quickly and efficiently when project conditions change unexpectedly. Install drainage and other water management systems according to project plans and best practices.Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner to people and property.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with Operations Manager and Sales Team.Communicate daily with clients (on residential projects) to provide updates and to check in at necessary points for approval on a work area.Learn to constantly improve production rates and identify improvements to work-flow.Qualifications:High School Diploma with 2 years of relative work experience.
