Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and skilled HVAC Service Technician or Apprentice Level Technician to join a growing team in the Summerville, SC area. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay, career growth, and the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWork from home and be dispatched to job sites daily within a 2-hour radius.Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems.Collaborate closely with Service Coordinators to ensure seamless scheduling and job completion.Participate in a mandatory on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls as needed.Attend two monthly office visits: a mandatory safety meeting and a team discussion with the Team Lead and Area Manager to review successes and challenges.Properly document service activities and communicate effectively with clients and team members.Utilize standard HVAC tools (must provide your own tool bag with standard tools; company will provide and reimburse for larger or broken tools).Benefits and PerksCompany truck and fuel card provided for work-related travel.Compensation for overnight stays, including expenses for hotel and meals (reimbursed on the next paycheck). Overnight schedules are not very frequent.Opportunity for certification trainingIf you have HVAC experience but no certifications, the company will pay for your training.Competitive pay rates based on experience:HVAC Service Technician$25-$35/hour (depending on experience).Apprentice Level$15-$20/hourMinimal overtime (approximately 10 hours/month).Join a close-knit team of 7 Service Technicians and work alongside a supportive Area Manager who will occasionally assist in the field.Qualifications5+ years of HVAC experience preferred. Residential experience will be considered, but this is primarily a commercial role.Certifications are strongly preferred, but not required.Must have a stable work history with no frequent job hopping.Ability to travel within a 2-hour radius and occasionally outside the territory for emergency calls.Standard HVAC tools and a reliable tool bag are required.Orientation will take place in Greensboro, NC, over a 4-day period, scheduled every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
