The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Role SummaryAs a Residential Supervisor, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life's toughest challenges. Here's what you'll need to succeed:A solid commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of othersExperience working in social services, education, mental health, or related fields (preferred but not required)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills"”you're a connector, a listener, and a problem solverA passion for lifelong learning and professional developmentAbility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with diverse teamsA growth mindset that aligns with Wayfinder's mission to empower and support marginalized communitiesHow you will Impact Change:Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the TSC during the shift.Maintain logs on residents regarding behavior or incidents for communication with the Department of Child and Family Services, shelter staff, and other Wayfinder departments. Also, ensure all related documents, including meal charting, are stored in children's files.Prepares and oversees the staffing assignment for each shift to ensure that the health and safety needs of the residents are met and to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements are met regarding staffing ratios.Documentation/record keeping in children's files including meal charting.Reports any unusual incidents/accidents immediately to the Supervisor, both verbally and in writing.QualificationsEducation and CredentialsB.A. degree from accredited college/university in child development, special education, psychology, or related field. Education may be waived in lieu of appropriate experience.Valid California driver's license and eligibility to drive agency vehicles, unless disabled.Must be 21 years of age to drive agency vehicles.Good communication skills, particularly written and oral.Ability to function as team member and follow through on recommendations from professional staff.Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency's insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles. Or ability to facilitate travel for and with clients to and from potential job sites and lesson destinations used for training, using available transportation resources which may include public transportation, rideshare, etc.Employee Wellness and Safety at WayfinderOur employees' and clients' health and safety are at the heart of everything we do.
