REPORTS TO:Supervisor, Division OrderABOUT WILDFIRE ENERGY:WildFire Energy is an independent energy company focused on the acquisition, exploitation, and production of oil and natural gas properties in the United States through the application of modern technology and production optimization. WildFire's principal assets are located in the Brazos Valley area of the eastern Eagle Ford.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Division Order Technician will support our Land Administration department with various projects, while maintaining accurately organized files, documents, records and logs of division order transactions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate with Division Order team members in determining the ownership of minerals by reviewing and collecting records, preparing necessary communications, and processing appropriate division and transfer ordersGather, organize, scan and log all incoming mail for the Land Administration team and direct to the appropriate team members and/or systems to be processed in a timely mannerPrepare the out-going mail of division orders and other time-sensitive communications to royalty ownersSupport the process of ownership changes upon receipt of division orders, death certificates and/or address change confirmation lettersConfidently and professionally resolve owner inquiries through inbound phone calls, escalating more advanced inquiries to the Owner Relations teamAssist Division Order team members with data entry, data audits and other ad-hoc projects as neededPossess high level of aptitude with Excel so that various data points can be extracted from OnDemand Land and OnDemand Accounting and be utilized in reports, presentations, meetings, etc. as needed by the departmentThe duties described above are a brief summation of the general nature and level of work performed, but are not intended to be a complete comprehensive list of all the duties, activities, and responsibilities required. This position may be asked to perform other land and land administration duties/activities as necessary or required.LOCATION/WORK SCHEDULE:Houston, TXHybrid Schedule: Mon - Thurs in office with Flex-Fridays (remote option every Friday)KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and the ability to learn new software or applications, additionally:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skillsHigh standards of accuracy and attention to detailDemonstrated knowledge of upstream oil and gas land/land administrationHighly-driven and self-motivatedAbility to work collaboratively across departmental functionsExperience with Quorum OnDemand Land, OnDemand Accounting, ArcGIS software is preferred, but not required Working knowledge of Division Order, legal and/or title experience preferredEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred; experience in lieu of education will be considered1-3+ years of relevant industry Land/Land Administration related work experience
