Machine Specialist

Position OverviewOMEC Smart Card is seeking a detail-oriented, physically capable, and skilled Machine Specialist to support our automated card production process. This role requires operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various machinery while ensuring production quality, efficiency, and safety. Candidates must excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demonstrate strong teamwork, and possess the ability to learn and adapt quickly to operational requirements. This is a physically active role that involves standing for long periods, managing materials, and performing hands-on tasks with machinery.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate automated machinery involved in processes such as printing, trimming, embedding, and assembling smart cards.Monitor machine performance and address operational issues to minimize downtime, including rewiring copper spools.Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuous production.Perform quality inspections during and after production to meet company and industry standards.Load materials, manage machine components, and maintain efficient workflows.Maintain accurate records of production output, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.Work closely with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals and suggest process improvements.Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience as a Machine Specialist, Machine Operator, or similar role in manufacturing.Understanding of production procedures, machine operations, and technical documentation.Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and perform material handling tasks.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and production schedules.Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust machinery efficiently.Willingness to follow safety standards, policies, and procedures.Preferred QualificationsVocational training or certification in machinery operation or maintenance.Experience with automated smart card production systems or similar industries.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, RFID manufacturing processes, Quality Control systems, or 5S methodology.Why Join OMEC Smart Card?Be part of a global leader in the smart card manufacturing industry.Work on innovative projects across sectors like banking, telecommunications, and security.Join a diverse and inclusive workplace focused on sustainability and quality.Collaborate with a skilled and supportive team in a dynamic environment.OMEC Smart Card is an equal opportunity employer.
